It can feel tough planning a fun date night when you’ve got #adulting responsibilities like taking care of your dog. But we can’t complain, they provide the best companionship. The best of all worlds is when your furry mate can come along on your night of fun. Below are our favourite dog-friendly date ideas in Sydney!
It’s almost that season again! What’s better than kicking back on a beautiful Australian night with your best guy/girl and pup? Nothing! And lucky for us, Moonlight Cinema agrees :-) You and your partner can now nosh on food truck treats while watching a great flick, all with your best bud by your side.
Wendy Whiteley’s Secret Garden, Lavender Bay
This hidden gem is gorgeous on so many levels. Firstly, it’s a beautiful sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of Sydney life. But it also has a touching story behind it: when Wendy Whiteley lost her husband, famed Australian artist Brett Whiteley, to drug addiction, she poured her love and grief into a work of art in a small plot of land in front of her home. She transformed a weedy overgrown, litter-ridden patch into a gorgeous garden sanctuary. It also happens to be dog-friendly :-) Enjoy exploring this hidden garden in the heart of Sydney.
Sydney Restaurants and Pubs
It’s becoming more and more common for restaurants, pubs and cafes to allow our furry best friends inside. It’s no doubt a challenging aspect of dog ownership...finding a place where you can eat and have nice date conversation, that also allows your little furry mate to chill by your side.

Here’s a list of our favourite dog-friendly beaches! Some are off-leash, some are on-leash, and some are dog friendly at certain hours.
Life’s always better with Bae and Rex by your side. Whether it’s chillin’ at the beach or grabbing a drink, our furry friends are part of the family. And that includes date night!
